The Greater Wheatland Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit membership organization comprised of businesses, community groups, and dedicated residents. Schedule of Events
9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.: see below for various locations
- Spring Clean Up in Scottsville! Please pick up garbage bags and street assignments in front of the Wheatland Municipal Building, 22 Main Street.
- Computer & Electronic Recycling. Drop off used PCs, laptops, printers, cell phones, ink cartridges, DVD/VCRs, video games and more. NO household appliances, please. Village of Scottsville Dept. of Public Works (DPW), 385 Scottsville-Mumford Road, behind the Scottsville Fire Dept.
- Free mulch pick-up and yard debris drop-off: VILLAGE residents should go to the Village DPW at 385 Scottsville-Mumford Road. TOWN residents should go to the town property at 1421 Scottsville Mumford Rd.
9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at the Scottsville Free Library, 32 Main Street
- RECYCLE your used books, CDs, and DVDs! Donations will be used to support the Annual Book Sale.
11:00 A.M.: “Raptors: Friends with Feathers” Ron Walker brings raptors to the library and discusses these regal birds, climate change, and endangered species. Hosted by the Friends of the Library.
11:30 - 12:30 at Johnson Park, Browns Avenue in Scottsville
- Town-wide cook out for all clean up participants! Hosted by the Scottsville Lions Club.
12:00 - 5:00 PM at Wheatland-Chili Middle/High School, 940 North Road
- Environmental Expo, Film Festival, and Transportation Display. Fun-filled activities, movies, and displays throughout the entire afternoon--- something for all ages! Learn about eco-friendly products and practices for your home, garden, or business. Bring your favorite garden plant for a “plant swap.” See the latest in transportation: hybrid, alternative fuel, cycling, and even a car that runs on veggie oil!
